Yes it is. It looked fake, so I checked. Check it yourself :
Take two screenshot and switch quickly between these two. You'll see that through the whole video the coins are always at the exact same spots.
If they had been moved 'by hand', an overlay of several screenshots would have shown some differences...

this would take years to do... CGI.

There actually is a "the making of" this movie. It is NOT fake 
They used a projector in the roof to help them with the placement of the coins.

To me, this isn't very impressive. Am I jaded?
OK, so it took a lot of time. All they did was project the animation images onto the background and place the coins in the correct spots.
