Damn... 1:55 an hour 1/2! He knew that was a do or die situation though, machine started a fire and the damn rubber tires were smoking in his face... If he would of been able to stay there longer and the machine had not created a fire I think he would have waited it out like the hiker who had to amputate his own arm too after waiting 5 days.
WoW. I feel sorry for him. But respect for him cause he was able to do that so he could still be alive for his wife, thats what he said. Love > Pain
The brain is able to stop any pain in life or death situiations. He didnt felt too much pain in the whole process , until he got away then he must be suffering terrible agony.
Poor guy but i think many people would do the same thing in that situation.

This might sound cruel but, That's what the tard gets for sticking his hand/arm in a RUNNING MACHINE! Ok, I feel better now. Seriously I hate stupid people....

I can't imagine myself doing what he did myself neither. I would be crying in so much pain that probably would have given up life all together. ![]()

This guy is AMAZING! Shows how strong the human will to survive can be.
It's so amazing that he survived and he acted clearly instead of panicking. The wrong thing he did was to put his life at risk because of that corn. If a machine is jammed and you don't know exactly what's up, don't act brave doing something you think you can, you really don't know what's gonna happen. Call someone to help or something, you might end up like this guy or worse. Lucky he kept his life but yet he lost so much losing one arm. I think he learned his lesson.

#11 Indeed, since it says
3. When mechanism becomes clogged, disengage power before cleaning
Shouldve sticked to that.
Actually the thing is, many, if not most people, would do this. You see, you have something in you... your primal instinct for survival. It bypasses your everyday "thinking" ie you don't even think about doing it, you just do it. It's our primal instinct of survival. All creatures have it.
It's not every day something like this happens so of course it stands out. But most of us would probably do the same without even thinking about the consequences. That is all i am saying. He clearly was in a very tough situation which triggered the instincts quickly.
#15 I am pretty sure he panicked quite a bit. Hence he wasn't even thinking about what he was going to do - but just did it.
#14 This applies to all creatures. The survival instinct in living creatures is high. Since it's one of our primal functions, shared with all living creatures.
The only thing I don't understand is how he has the courage to put his remaining arm in a similar machine? Also, why didn't he cut at the joint - would have been easier and with less blood loss?
