I wonder can they make bigger size now and then put that robot on humans back. Would be awesome to fly like that.

this is obviously just a prototype, all they need to do now is make it look like a bird without adding to much extra weight, it will look amazing I bet!

If used as a transportation, it would be a very jerky plane. Motion-sickness on a cruise? Let's take it to a completely different level. 
I just wonder how much in/efficiency a bird model is compared to an actual plane.

ok, so when the world is over-polluted we will still have birds...thats another way of dealing with pollution; "make fake animals, they will survive it all!"

The first thing that came to my mind is the military / espionage application. Sad
