Damn that driver's good, and the car of course, but I'd prefer to see the new Nissan GT-R. Rumors say that it's faster. :(|)

A r8 would easily clock in under 7:00 with the same driver, corvette...strong car nothing else. And what can I say, propulsion cars are obsolete imo.

#5 thats absolutely incorrect! The fastest time of a road-legal car is 7:11,57 with a Gumpert Apollo! A R8 needs around 7:30...

#6 Yea the Stig IS better and would probably knock 4 or 5 seconds off this time. Jim Mero is just a Chevy engineer , not a race car test driver. Remember guys , this is a stock production car made in quantity for the public , not a race car that is made in very limited numbers and has the minimum equipment to be rated "street legal". The Radical SR8LM does not even have doors or a top and only weighs 1300 lbs. Plus the ZR1 gets 20/14 mpg on pump gas. No one is saying this is the fastest car ever to run at The Ring, just one of the fastest for under $115,000. (or even $215,000)

#10 #11 the Radical SR8 only had a Single Vehicle Approval in the UK because of their lousy laws. This car would never be road-legal in any other country like the US or Germany. Because of that many lists for the fastest lap-time don't count this one...
