Having tried and tested the Development preview of Windows 8 I can say with out a doubt its the most unproductive load of crap ever.
It looks like a smart phone, its like one too every single app on one big long list and no search option.
If this is the future I hope I do not live to see it end up like that.

why m i not surprized they still got poor ppl in the future? and one thing i have learnd from life......the future is never as they predict. ive must have seen hundreds of future visions over the years...not one came true.

Software-wise those are still do-able. They must first overcome the hardware limitations and pricing.

one must understand the stress and presure it implies having a clock EVERYWHERE around. If once we were quantifying our life rythm by days, now we divide our time in units of under 5 minutes... Every god damn new electronic device has a clock display. Do yourself a favor and try, for a while, living without those. You'll feel an unexpected new found freedom!

#14 Well spotted , 200 projected screens on walls every were and phones as thin as a credit card , and then there is 2 lcd monitors on a desk what a fail !

So basically, everything is an advertisement? If you take away all the annoying stuff that I would disable right away, you would end up with a pager. Every smartphone is more useful than this.

So, according to this video our future consists of staring at touch screen displays, playing with touch screen interfaces, living more of our lives through a display and only having contact with people through a digital source, at the same time not socializing with people on a close level, ignoring and not communicating the REAL people around us???

In the future we don't socialize. Everyone is rich. We still use LCD screens(good spotting #14). What a sad future. In reality with mankind spreading like a plague on this planet... how can there even be "jobs" left. Unless 90% of mankind vanish from the planet how can there ever be a good future.

Why fly? It seems out of place to fly for business with all that fancy tech available to seamlessly link everyone up no matter where one is or what one is doing. There is no escape in this creepy Microsoft future.

yes this is great, really. but wouldn't it be nice if the future is "No WARS, No Hunger, No Homeless, Good old Green World". why cant i see a video of that.
