Pretty neat idea, would be really cool with added sound effects like this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBq3wZ5VK3Q

Very neat, but I fear the computer screens are far too low on the desk... they should be at eye level. (He says whilst straining his next with a laptop on his lap 24/7...)

A far easier solution would be to mount the LCD's directly on the underside of the bed at a better height... no mechanism needed.

Asians have been doing this for quite some time. Some of their apartments are just out of this world when it comes to how much they can fit into a tiny space.

or here for the more options

they sell the hardware kit (hinges, pistons etc) for $325 and the plans for different models for $25
kit is a bit expensive but still it'll come out cheaper than buying the whole for $2000 for the cheapest bed

good luck to those who will try; i will !!
