There is nothing that will make me overlook how bad this series has gotten since GT3 came out and blew everyone away at the time. GT4 in some respects went a step backwards, locked exterior angle being the most annoying "feature", but it was still a solid game. GT5 was such a colossal disappointment, I literally sold my PS3 because of it - so dry and unexciting. There was just no point in keeping it. Seems like a good decision looking back and looking at GT6 now.

#1 I have been playing since the first one on PSX and have seen progress on each one. Yes, 4 was a little of a drag. GT5 got better and so far I am enjoying GT6.

It is supposed to be more of a simulation game of engine detail, suspension tweaking, being able to time your braking and salvaging your tires for the entire race. It is possible this franchise is not for you. You might like the Need for Speed/Forza crowd. Don't put down something that majority enjoy.

#3 I'm with you, really loving GT6 (I'm currently on it now :D) especially how we keep getting updates with free cars unlike M$ & Turn10 wanting $$$ for each new car
