From a standpoint of someone who has never tried any drugs, but knows quite a few people who had abusive (read: excessive) behavior with various forms of legal and illegal drugs i really do not understand this kind of documentaries.

Eye witness testimony with drugs is totally biased as any negative effects take years to appear. It's like reading a review of someone who tested a product for 5 minutes. Rather incomplete.

Those experts don't deserve that name, as they don't state anything, as usual. And if they do it either it's edited out or you get a massive shitstorm by the biased users who don't have ling term experience.

I would love to see a documentary about any long term (read: 15+ years) daily drug user, alcohol, marihuana, cocaine

#1 did you actually watch this video? This is not about "daily drug usage", this is about taking medicine/drug that is not confirmed by pharmacy mafia on your own.
Like this guy https://www.snotr.com/video/13784/Magic_Mushrooms_against_Cluster_Headache
And I m pretty sure that you did take some sort of medicine/drugs in your life, but those were legalized for sure.
Meaning, every medicine is drug and vice versa, every drug is medicine, the question is what dosage you take.

Just to make sure, I don't approve abusive usage of any kind of medicine (legalized or not)

#3 and even better one :D http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0180093/

#1 from a standpoint of someone who has tried almost everything there is, more than several times (skipped heroin and unobtainable ones here like peyote) i understand this kind of reports (not documentaries) as they just try to show sth different to an average person.
it isn't called a medical documentary or a paper published in an important science magazine.

but also, i must agree with you as these kinds of reports make gullible people get hooked on new ideas
for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoDvXcTgTl4 :D :D :'( :'( 8-) 8-)

#5 I don't think Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds (you're not fooling anyone Macartney) is especially fattening unless it is impregnated into very large bars of chocolate. 8-)

I wonder how many of these people are experiencing a placebo effect. Never, ever, underestimate the placebo effect. If this would have been done during a very heavily monitored environment then I might take what they're saying seriously. Self medication using small dosages of drugs, I don't know. The guy that talked about drug resistances was probably the only one I felt the most sincere.
