I'm from the uk and can't stand Russell Brand. His humour is purile and delivered in a voice which strangulates any possibility of worthwhile intelligence out of them. Guy is a waste of space.

Anyone thinking of trying this one should be aware that it isn't that bright an idea to take into the body. In the past it has been linked to skin/lung cancer and due to its small particulates does real damage to the lung lining.

Civil war? You really do feature from a different age don't you. This is the 21st century not the 19th and issues of policy are decided via a democratic process of discussion (often heated to be sure) and choices made at the ballot box; curious how a country that prides itself on freedom of thought and speech feels so insecure about it that its people arm themselves to the teeth in fear of it being removed and speak of civil war (haven't you got it yet? The gun solves nothing).
For too long now the majority of the american people have seen the view of their nation sink in stature throughout the world and rightly have grown angry at it. This was what people voted for in this election - change. As for Obama's alleged wrongdoings I am unable to comment since you don't quote sources and besides, who of us hasn't at a young age courted views outside the norm. This is normal for any young person seeking to define their voice (and let's be clear this WAS at an early age), the sign of an adult is to take those views and consider them for their merits and faults and weigh them accordingly. If Obama was the risk you suggest do you think he'd have risen to the position he is at now? I'd say not. To me this suggests a man not closed to alternative points of view and looks beyond a narrowly defined 'norm' as a catalyst for growth; such a flexible approach is to be applauded and encouraged.
Of course any demoracy has it faults but here in the UK we are happy with the freedoms we enjoy without having to constantly shout about it, we don't feel obliged to fly a flag of the union from any and every piece of furniture (something we would associate with fascism here) and where we also have a strong contempt of authority or brazen behaviour of any kind, any government we elect understands this and accepts it can only govern with our consent. This is a multilateral view of society which we embrace and many across the world see Obama as understanding these values beyond merely what is deemed right for your country alone.
Peace bro, this is my last comment on the matter. Life's too short.

'98% of blacks voted for him so I guess racism is alive and well here.'
Oh, so they should have voted white, right?! For a country that crows on about it's freedoms, you get mighty pissed when people make the 'wrong' choices. Thankfully, in my country this is a preference you're allowed to make.
Wake up to the reality of the world around you america, for a long time now it has been turning without you, even your own intelligence agencies acknowledge that.

The lead for this line of thinking came from CNN. I do however like how the television network of the People's Republic of China, CCTV is used to prove what appears to be a different scenario. So the communists are useful for something then.
No one going to answer my question regard costs for 're-stringing' an arm? Any thoughts on the Global Trends report by the National Intelligence Council?
Btw Oldfart I wasn't being literal when I referred to 'all' the people, obviously that would be a trifle difficult.
These are important issues Chingis and if you haven't noticed the changes in the last eight years because of the president that was elected, I think maybe you should get out more and start taking note of the world you live in. It can only change if you engage with it and I'm afraid that means taking note of who runs your country.

A work collegue of mine has been waiting 3 months for appointment to deal with damaged tendons in his arm, got the call to look at him yesterday morning, in the afternoon a second call telling him surgery will be on 9th December. Following surgery he will have three months physiotheraphy - Cost? Zilch!
Yes, a wait for initial appointment can be a problem but at that price he isn't complaining. Out of genuine interest, what would this kind of surgery cost in the states, with follow up care?

These are 20 of the top finance ministers and bank governors from around the world controlling 80% of world trade with two-thirds of the world's population. If the guy doesn't see the point of eye contact or indeed even attempt a handshake you gotta wonder what goes on between those ears. Gathers his clothes and sneaks out the room before she wakes and he has to be polite and pretend he had a good night, whilst desperately wanting to run a mile. Gets to botton of stairs, sees photograph of himself and his wife, same woman, son walks by and says hi. Dad feels like a plonker and wonders WTF happen.
Who hasn't woken up after a one night stand and thought 'Shit, that was a mistake'. I certainly have!
