After a closer look the tire problem is actually POSSIBLE.
All it took was to put much weight in the upmost part inside the wheel or behind it. Then keep them balanced which could be achieved with some play-doh or other plasticine. Thus the tires kept their balance until hit - then the gravity pulled them up.
