#1 your body acts like an antenna you don't need all this stuff to try it. I remember as a kid putting my finger on broken antennas and getting a signal. The bigger the surface, the better you'll get the signal.
Depending on where you are it works with only headphones. you can hear a weak radio signal with many static only by taking them in your hand if you are in the good place.

Some nice ideas, Game Designers should look at this video.
I think they have to inspire themselves with "paper-RPG" systems like D&D, EWS or Polaris. By the way, Faction system is a cool and cheaper way to make impact on the player choices like in some MMO (as said EQ or DAoC, etc.). Multiple axes is definitively the way.
Nice vid, thx.

Just for some more infos,
This is the spanish export version of the Harrier : EAV-8B Matador II
They formerly were launched from the carrier "Príncipe de Asturias" but it was decommissioned in 2012, on this video it's "the Juan Carlos I" which is commissioned since 2010. It's a amphibious projection platform (helicopters, VTOL planes, troops, ..) more like the French Mistral more than a carrier.

42. mwak commented 9 years ago on video China Uncensored - China's One Child Policy
Good propaganda but as many speech like this one they only put in front the topic that is interesting to them.
Now in China if you have a girl as first child you can have a second one but you are limited to two. If the first one is a boy, you have to make a demand to have a second one.
Menstruation cycle are not check, never heard of it an I was there 6 years and I'm still going there often and have many girl friends there and there is nothing like this.
Technically it's not a bad thing for this country because Chinese have a very intense sexual activity, cities tend to be overcrowded and it's only recent that the kids are told about contraceptive methods. If people could have has many has they want/do it would be an economical and social disaster in some part of china which are still under-developed compared to big cities that you see every day in the news.
In another hand the part about the fines are true, like when someone is put to death the family has to pay for the execution.
The same goes for the part where there are more boys than girls over the territory.

From all French people, I wanted to thank all snotr users for their support.
It's terrible, there is no word to put on those acts. I've just passed the last few hours contacting everyone I know in Paris. Of course we are under the shock but one word echoes : we will stay strong.
We will never bend in front of terrorism and extremism.
We will arise stronger and defend the values of liberty, equality and fraternity no matter the cost because tonight wasn't a crime against France but against humanity and humans values themselves.
So thanks again for your words.
From Paris.

That was strong, as I traveled in different countries I could see that people in rich countries (like mine) are so concentrated on small problems whereas in poorer countries people with money abuse of poor people.
I think you can see many of those documentaries but it wont describe the horror of what you can see in reality .. seeing children starving, people kick out in the street because of illness. Those things touch you deeply in your soul.
I don't think you can/must stop the system, it's silly, but you can make little moves that will enhance those people life and won't cost you many money or time.
I'm sure that if people could think a little more out of the box, the world could be a better place and not a modern form of slavery.
Thanks to the uploader anyway

77. mwak commented 9 years ago on video Zambia loves escalators, just "don't be gay."
It reminds me of the humour in the 90's where you could say anything stupid without anyone being a offended. Back then it was called dark humour. Now we are so afraid to laugh of minorities that we directly think this is bad.
I think if we review some (many?) shows from the 90's or the 2000's they will look racist and homophobic and sexist.
I think this is a generation clash. Yes, I found it sexist but i'm not offended, I laugh at it
I went to zambia last year .. I could just picture the cop scene. When they looked (and spoke ...) at me they where like : "hey look at me white cheeks with boobs : i've got a big gun, i walk like john wayne, i'm the law !".
Really, People should be offended that in this country it's illegal to be gay and that the police force are corrupted than by a man that is trying to point it with humor on stage.

sadly as I can tell from my voluntary fireman experience on road accidents, when the crash is too hard the seat belt is always ripped off. Another problem is that people put it too high and it disconnects their shoulder as they slip through.
I don't say they are useless, that'd be a lie, they save many lives and you should use them and as driver ensure that everyone as it lock tight before starting your engine. But sometimes the shock is so hard they can't handle it.
Drive safe and respect the other and yourself on the road

#3 : you're right in fact reflexes are by definition used "whithout" thinking. It's a bypass in our brain, some sort of wirring between synapses that allow the information to get from fact to action with few processing states.
But this guy was saved also mainly because he respected the security distances, if he was closer from the other vehicule when it got on the security lane it would have could have gone terribly wrong.

When i was a kid I worked with this kind of pen to learn writing. My brother that is 4 years younger had to learn with a ballpoint pen.
That's kinda sad in some way because it was a struggle to make something of it but the result was so rewarding.
I still use a fountain pen but clearly when i took it out people sometimes look at me like an extraterrestrial
I hope I had met this kind of talented person as a kid

ok, I can't find any excuses for this one.
I can't understand how the slightest helicopter pilot would not understand the risk of induced torque in transitional flight. you need antitorque on the tail. Here it's the metallic structure that was suffering all the stress pressure and eventually broke.
Apart if you're using a counter-rotative helicopter like the most of the Kamov ones (or those little cheap drones). The standard helicopter flight is very unstable during the takeoff and landing (partialy due to the air flow that rebounce on the ground upward). This can create vibrations.
So vibration + torque effect I can't see how they do have found helicopter pilots for this.
I wouldn't have wanted to be in this.

119. mwak commented 7 years ago on video Why Photos of the Eiffel Tower at Night are Illegal
There is a little problem here. It's an old law that was revised almost the next week by the senate.
There was a campaign of false information published through wikimedia that turned viral with the first draft of the law.
You can find many pics of the "Tour Effeil" by night, illumination or not, in google on the first page with no other filter nor copyright.
You have the right to take pics of any architectural monument and sculptures you want, since it's not directly or indirectly intended for a commercial purpose.
So if you're an individual or an association, you can take all the pics of the Eiffel tower you want and share them.
If you're a private company or if you mean to sell them, you should in theory add a copyright if it's taken illuminated (night or day).
To be honest : no one cares. I never heard of someone who got sued for not adding "SETE – illuminations Pierre Bideau" on the pic.
The company in charge of the tower (SETE) even reacted to this by encouraging people to take pics by night of the tower
Moreover, there are challenges organized by state of Paris every years for the best pics of the city, there's no copyright on them but sometimes the name of the photograph.
So don't worry, take the pics you want and enjoy the city

i'm not ok with tripod replacement fact. It should work with all day photos but if you want to play with long pauses or moving focuses for example (or any more advanced techniques) you will eventually need one.
In fact it may be a good invention for small cameras but I don't believe that, in its development state, it will help with reflexes cameras.
The focus speed is interesting but with nowadays optics and embedded softwares, we are able to get a very fast focus. The most usefull parts of this techology, despite the price and the ecological footprint, may be the mechanical stability over time.
Let's wait and see how it evolves.

Well Jean-Marc clearly said that he makes French and American pastry.
As you can see the croissants are typical croissants from the moon crescent form that are the original form. Palmiers are also the same. Macarons .. well you are French I don't even have to explain you why they are typical (8th century more or less).
If you look closely at the shelf you'll see many of those specialties we enjoy on the morning like "pain au chocolats", "chaussons au pommes", "pains suisses".
You'd also recognize a small kouign amann rounded on the lower shelf on the pasteries side, which is typically only butter sugar an a little of flour. You'd also notice some "guimauves" that are only eggs white and sugar.
Yes he has some American specialties too, but isn't it quite intelligent from him to adapt his recepies to his customers ?
But for me it's largely French enough to be better than some bakeries we have in some towns.

#4: They can do both, most big airports have systems called ALS (Automated Landing Systems) but in any case the pilot can chose to operate the landing manually.
Imo, there is 3 possibilities :
- The plane was reaching the limits for acceptable landing rates (crosswind angle/ wind speed/fuel left?) but for some reason the crew decided to proceed with the landing.
- Something went wrong with the breaks/rudder system forcing them to overcompensate and they landed as they could.
- The pilot conducted a manual landing and reacted too late to align the plane with the runway. (this option would be surprising. But still, it's possible)
In any way the plane landed without damages and no on was hurt , so that's a proper landing

Also the material used is now plexiglas with multiple layers which allow a stress reparation between the inner cabin and the outside. (note the for most of the planes outside windows are not the same material, for example boeing use laminate.)
Also you will find little holes at the bottom of a plane window which are used for pressurization equalization between the strates.
So the plane won't implode but regulate its pressure naturally in case of too high structural stress.

198. mwak commented 7 years ago on video How To Cook A Cheap Steak Vs. An Expensive Steak
For my part I should say it looks like a really "American" ( much oil, and big part) way of cooking (not bad but different).
Let me share some easy one from over here.
Use just some smaller cuts (200g should be enough).
First add some slice onions in a pan with a nut of butter. On low/medium intensity, Let them cook and steer until they are transparent (you can add a small amount of honey (like 1/4 of a cofeee spoon) + water to caramelize them). Then deglaze them with the alcohol you want (white whine should be better for the aroma). Put the onions on a side (not the sauce, only the hard part), add the steaks on a slow cooking intensity (just make a flip on each side of 20 sec). add back the onions, put up the heat intensity, make another flip.
Add some french fried cooked in 2 oils bath (first vegetal, second animal : grandmother secret lol. The first one opens the potatoe, the second one give the flavours and the texture).
It should be tasty with enough flavours for not adding any additional condiment. Serve with a glass of red wine (a mineral round in mouth one should be fine, like a some from the center of France). If you deglaze with some bourbon-like you may want to use a stronger red whine of some mustard as condiment.
... OK i'm hungry i'll make some

#4 ; like in any emergency the rules are :
1) Proctect : yourself, the persons involved and the scene to prevent over-accidient. Always wear a flash jacket (with reflecting bands) when going in the traffic, do NOT stay near/in the cars. Stay at least at 50m from the crash and 5m from the side of the road.
2) Alert : call for emergencies / support (localisation, number of persons involved and their status) think before you speak in order to be more efficient, do not make long sentences.
3) Rescue : If you know how to do it without putting someone else in danger. Else prevent aggravation of the scene. Do not try to heal/move somone unless you're sure on how to do it.
If the person is bleeding, apply pressure on the wound. Keep them conscious by asking them simple questions like their name, pet name, where they live. Remove their belt/bra or anything that could act as pressure on the lungs. Do never let them fall asleep. check their paper and see if you find some medical history pills or anything they could have taken or be allergic too.
Respect those rules P-A-R in order and that's the best you can do.

I think that the dropping effect is made a shadow prepointed, if you look at the position f the hand and his look, he his looking to put one of his finger on the top of the flower branch, you can see a little shadow on his thumb appearing while he is adjusting to the drip.
if you look closely the cane at the end comes directly from the paper not the shadow, it doesn't reflect on his hand nor the red.
For the blood, his right hand palm has a little burst, you can see it with he turn it, the shadow isn't uniform. I suppose It must have been hidden under some makeup and set to burst when he stretch his hand (the only time he gets the position in the trick). Just look where the red marks begins and associate it with to position on the hand. It's small at the beginning then it expands.
For the flower I think you are right, either he has a switch on him, either an assistant.

What's difference between snotr and other sites like this one is the selection of videos and the users that are able the think by themselves. The community, yet small, is great and fun.
Snotr has some really interesting videos, point of views. Alright some of them enter in Frank description but what he tended to forget in his speech is that we are human and we are social beeing.
Having fun watching something is good, it's the excess that is bad.
And that excess may vary between people
So anyway the answer is as simple as : have fun in your life and live it to the fullest

I never understood why people enjoy breaking working stuff. When i don't want something I sell it back or i give it to someone in need.
When I want to shoot a weapon I go to the shooting range and I enjoy myself at the 100m or 200m range.
It has never came to my mind to destroy something just for fun.
If he wanted to try to prove the effectiveness of this 20mm he should have fired it at something with equivalent to a WWII tank armor and see how it goes through in slow-mo.

It's an easy way to get on the way some more advanced models like the hypercube which is "more or less" the same principle but with more than 3 dimensions.

#7: and that's why humans hunted the carnivorous animals from the forests and now herbivorous species are proliferating like crazy, threatening themselves with mass contagion, bad health due to overpopulation. In some places like the Alpes Mountains, wolves and bears have been reintroduced in order to limit the the explosion of a species.
Where I lived as a child a deer once came in the school and began hurting children because he was in his reproduction cycle and was gathering some new territories. He ended hurting himself by passing through a window and died bleeding out.
Sadly in most places of France (and western europe), the only predator left for those species is the human.

Here is the other angle, and you clearly see the damages. Sometimes things are simple : people do stupid things and don't know how to react to them
The blown out thing is due to the sonic bang like a jet passing by. There is non pressure just a wave that deforms the structure until it reaches the rupture point of the glass so it collapses on itself.

Let me try do a quick summary for you :
- They talk about stress (not really interesting).
On stage :
- He tells that it's an accident, he was a carpenter and fell from a roof some years ago. (he makes some jokes about it with his friend, some play on words hard to translate. He is quite humorous)
- He then went to a dance school and met the other person and asked him to teach him : "how to dance".
- He wants to inspire other handicapped people, hoping to pass a message and start some vocation.
- The judge ask him "why did you choose this show?". They answer "We come with the wish to explain that it's not because someone is victim of an accident, that everything must stop. It's important to dare, important not to be afraid. And that's also the message of the show".
- They perform the act.
- The judges congrats them, explaining all about the emotions, images and poetry they felt. They also explain the fact that they were equals during the performance was really impressive. It's a life lesson better and stronger than words.
I hope it helps a little the non-french-speakers
It's a very nice vid, thank you Ringmaster

I've been working with OR, Vive and other professional headsets for more than 2 years now. And i'm not really in line with this video.
It's not really true for trainings, because VR headset don't work on everyone. If you are transport or sea sick, you will have it faster. If you have some eye problems like strabismus it doesn't work.
Most of the sessions can't be longer than 30 min depending on the persons, mainly because the focus use causes headaches.
In the military we have simulations most in 200° projections that simulate a typical equipement or vehicule. VR isn't used this much, specially not for the airforce.
Globally it's a fun tool, it can be used for many things like teaching for example, but now augmented reality is really more efficient than VR. One of the most known solution to public are the Microsoft Hololens.
Anyway if you have the chance to try some Rift or HTC vive try it even if you can only stand for 10 min it's a nice experience

378. mwak commented 12 years ago on video Questions no one knows the answer to
#8 I'm sorry, but can't see why it proves anything about this question.
We are amounts of matter and energy interacting with unimaginable amounts of other matters and energies. In fact if we could calculate all those interactions and the deducting reactions, we could be able to know the future.
The only thing that makes us believe in randomness is that we don't know yet how to explain it. Look in the past, there where so many facts that where attributed to divinities that we can now explain, and we call it science. We just have to get deeper in the understanding of our reality.
OK, we are far from it and maybe it's a good thing. But we are on the way. Even today processors have pre-emptive capabilities that pre-calculate what is supposed to happen based on what happened and learn about their fails.
If you want another experiment that prove this : just get a dice and launch it. There are so many factors that you can only use statistic theories to estimate what is going to happen.
Now change some of the experiment points, as having more of the same number on the faces or having a glued face or anything that we already know (estimate) the impact and interactions with its behaviours.
You can now reduce to the maximum what is going to happen "randomly", in fact you can predict something that was impossible couple of minutes ago, just because you know (estimate more precisely?) how things react.
Just get it to smaller scale, maybe smaller than the quarks and you will see how a small reaction at subatomic level makes a lot of impact on what we know as visible reality ... well we can't for now ... but maybe someday we will.

#2 that's what makes art, everyone as a definition, everyone is touched by something should it be book, sculpture, music, painting or pixelated-photos-made-in-chopsticks.
Just imagine the impressionists in their time. Some of them were treated as fool but now it's noticed as a major part of painting history.
That's the magic of art, it's not what it looks like, or how you do it but it's what it expressed to you, what it inspires you.
Now let's look back a little ans look at the classical music. For many, Mozart was a crazy man in his beginnings compared to what music was (crazy rhythmics, unappropriated subjects, etc) but now we treat him as a reference in classical music. and certainly some people where thinking that he was talentless in this time.
Now you can be touched by how it's made or by the result or only why it is made. It's your choice to make

Happy new year to you all !
the interesting thing in this video is to understand how it's achieved more than the result.
I think a little more explanations are needed.
The image is transposed in simplified meshes, then modulated in audio signals to match the oscilloscope reception format at the proper frequency.
It does come tricky with the framerate. In fact with the same algorithm, depending of your oscilloscope you may encounter curves instead of lines, it will depend on the samples used/generated and your impulse frequency per refresh.
It may not look this impressive, but the interface between the computer and the the render is quite very good a piece of engineer's work.

#2 sometimes reality seems so unbelievable that you can't even think it could be true. It's called denial.
Sometimes people need to learn lessons the hard way. Most of them have tried/did warn them about such dangers but it didn't work. Now they don't even have to ground them, the lesson have been told and understood.
It's better for those children to be in this kind of situation than encounter a real bad person.
Sometimes to have to be hard to protect the one you love even if it hurts you, even if they only understand this many times after.

haaa group conformity. When I was in school a teacher told us a simple experiment to see how subjective we can be to a group.
Go outside in a crowded street, walk with people, everyone walks the same direction and almost the same speed. Then stop and stay immobile suddenly, let the people flow around you. The first ones will look at you, considering your action has a strange, but soon no one will look at you, you're not in the group anymore, the flow will adapt around you.
If you feel comfortable being this rock in the flow then this kind of experiment won't work and you'd surely feel amazed looking at those people standing up. It you feel uncomfortable and decide to move, then this experiment will surely work on you.
It may seem simple, but try it once and you'll see it's not this easy. It's even harder with people you know, but it works. After some times some other people may even stop with you and that becomes fun

I'm sorry, i'm going to be bold but i've been grabbing too much part of people in car accidents over last years.
Accelerating when someone is overtaking you is a dumb stupid move. It doesn't prove anything, it puts everyone's life in danger : the driver, the pedestrians, the other cars, you. Every time, it's the same story "I didn't see the kid", " I've done it many times, it's the others that should look after me", excuses and excuses but there is someone dead that didn't ask anything so there is no point of denying.
Even if it's staged, there is no excuse. They should have found some old runway or a track.
If they want do something stupid, at least they should have the decency and respect to do it without anyone around.
Passing that, i'm curious to know how did they manage to get an electrical engine so small to get such output power. It must be light so the batteries shouldn't be working for long.

When you think that this country was so in advance technologically in the past, that 's kinda sad. Just think about it : at one time in history, Alexandria was the center of the world of philosophy, multiple main religions together buiding an extraordinary community of open minds. They have gone a long way since then.
In this video, they clearly just took the poor guy in for the show, one bad cop one good cop style. The profiling was obvious, he is so sure of him that he is calm and try to convince, it's a very scientific approach. The one that is angry is the host that represent modern society, the bringer of solution and help and the representative of the religion who stays calm. What an image perfectly crafted for the mass media
But that's the same level as some extremist Christians in the US we can see/read about.
Where there is extremism there is stupidity, no matter the subject or the place. Religion is just an easy one to highlight.

In fact there is an interesting experiment on foxes that have been selected breed for years in order to make them sociable. Russian are using them as a genetic and epigenetic evolution experiments that still continue today.
Here is a talk about it : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShaxRuy47p8
Here is a documentary : https://www.dailymotion.com/video/xwq3rs
They have created a new race of foxes that already show visible and genetic differences through only some years of forced evolution.
You can also find some interesting papers where some people tried to determine the sociable complex behavior gene sequence that made a wolf into dog breeds through centuries of domestication.
Through human history, selective breeding has made, in animal and vegetal reign, new type of subspecies and species (ie : german shepards, chickens eggs size, the peaches known as Prunus persica, some citrus). It's the same principle but without the genetic analysis in background.

I think the most important thing is the fundamentals your parents/life teach you : Be aware of your surounding, think before trusting.
As he said : the notions of good and bad are not the same for everyone.

#6 Yes, many times as i was a kid, just put your finger a broken antenna on an FM/AM receiver and you'll get it.
The quality principally depends on the wave length you body is able to intercept and the size if the interconnection.
As your body does it even without you noticing, it's safe. Your body act as an antenna and the receiver amplifies the signal.
Your body as an absorption efficiency of about 120MHz (radio waves with a λ about 3/3.5m). But still, the human body isn't a very good antena for RF.

530. mwak commented 7 years ago on video 16 Sorts - Color Circle
#9 : It's more of a logical law. You have a bunch of unordered things to begin with and you want to sort them. The algorithm is the logical process you will use/repeat to compare each of those things.
So there are many way to compare them. You can do it one by one, you can separate them in groups and then compare the groups, etc.
In the video you can think of each color replaced a number and associated to a sound. Each time the sorting algorithm moves something it plays the sound associated. That's what they were trying to get.
In the link I shared, you can see that some ways to order things require more unique actions than others. This is what is called algorithm complexity (or in math notation O(n) that you can translate in f(x), it's the same ).
Some methods are faster with small sets of number, some are more efficient with bigger sets.
The trick is now, to find the good algorithm to use, is to compare the many numbers there is in the set you want to order versus the complexity function. The best result will determine the most efficient method to use.
In practical situation, any program you can use that sort things (ex: phone calls history or online accounts, ...) use one of those methods.
Is it more clear ?

Christian Hoppe, spokesperson of the German Air Traffic Control confirmed that: "The pilot previously requested if he is allowed to fly a left-curve in case of a go-around and was given clearance." The necessary distance to other aircraft was ensured, the specific height of the maneuver was not determined. "From the DSF's point of view the maneuver was safe." The Federal Office for Air Navigation corrected earlier information, which claimed that the pilot had reported problems with the landing-gear. "That was our assumption."
The Federal Aviation Office will nonetheless examine the case, Air Berlin should submit a statement on the reason of the go-around. Our editorial staff believes, after multiple requests, that this is most likely routine operation.

537. mwak commented 6 years ago on video F/A-18F Carrier Break
#5 : the look isn't for incoming traffic. In a carrier air space there is a controller that guides you. you don't need to focus on the traffic when you're in the landing pattern. What you can see is him looking if he is lining up the speed, Gs, and angle of attack with the carrier meatball (you can think of it as some landing guidance system+controller) through his HMCS (the strange glass on his mask) that replicates the informational awareness and current flight info. The yellow jacket you see at the end on the ground is the ground traffic assistant that will guide him through the parking process.
If you want to try some of it there is a nice simulator called DCS:F/A-18C that is coming out soon. You can also try some carrier ops with the russian DCS: SU-33 on the Admiral Kuznetsov Carrier.
Just to share what retired pilots told me about French carrier ops : "it's like crashing on a stamp in the middle of the ocean. You're going way too fast for a way too small runway and when you touch down you go full throttle in case something goes wrong."

In France we can have this kind of gun. We only have to fill a permission and get the validation (like almost any firearm) . Then we can use it in firing range. We are not allowed to uncase it outside of home and the range. We are not allowed to load it outside of range.
We are one of the most weaponize country in Europe (I think we are the same as Norway), but i've never heard something this stupid happen.
We don't use weapons for home protection, just fire them at the firing range and for some calibers, we can also hunt with them.
Give this man a murphy's law award
More seriously, as an ex fireman I've always been shocked how people think it only happens to others. Like speeding. Every people we took out of the car had a good excuse and most of the were delusional : they killed people. If you'd show everyone what a real accident look like when you take out some crushed in half by a car begging for help they will think twice about it. It's the same for firearms. The tool isn't "bad" by itself, it's the usage that makes it stupid.
In my opinion, they should release the full video and show everyone what happen when you mess up with firearms. Some people may find it shocking but definitely it will dissuade some stupid ones to make so. Some people need to be educated the hard way.

540. mwak commented 6 years ago on video Footage Released Of Intended YouTube Stunt That Turned Deadly
It's not exactly like that.
I have a license and I never passed a psychological test. I just paid 120€ to my club and was delivered a card.
With that I can instant buy any hunting rifle (cal12, 22LR, etc) and ammo that is not semi automatic and require a lever a pump action. I just have to declare the weapon through a form after I bought it.
For the renewal. I just pay my license, nothing else.
When you have your license and about 6 month to 1 year of controlled range, you can ask for a type of weapon you want. Then your demand is examined but you don't get a psychological test either. The only thing you do it a test of some questions on how to handle your weapon (how to carry it, can you point it at people, ...). It takes about 1 or 2 month to check your background and then you can buy any semi automatic you want from the category you asked for.
For example you can have a MG-42, AR-15, AK-47, FAMAS, 45ACP 1911 pistol, which are military grade but contain a piece that don't allow you to use them in more than 1 semi automatic round by press of the trigger. Most of the time the magazines are loaded with 5 ammo, you can go higher if you want.
Some people in my club even have sniper rifles (PSG-1, FRF1) with scopes.
The only thing you have to do each year to conserve your weapons is to fire 3 times in controlled range with any pistol of any caliber (no even yours) 5 round each time (so 15 round in total) and pay your license to a club.
But you're right, in France you don't have the right to bear arms in the open. If you transport them you need to secure them and separate the ammunition from the gun in different bags. Fully automatics are illegal for civilians.
Well ... not so disturbing ; those human-like furry creatures with big balls take part af the local japanese folklore. They are part af the spirits group interacting with humans and are called yokaï ([yo-ka-e]).
Futhermore, it's not a racoon but a tanuki (some king of savage cat), it's said that if you see him and his 'golden balls', it will bring good fortune. But they are also malicious and like to play tricks. (for some wolf-like yokai, but not this one, they call take child in the wood and they are never seen again).
So it's a also a reference to the european "Little Red Riding Hood" were a wolf play tricks at a girl.
You can end it by : tricks + good fortune = null, so everything will be fine for the little red hood. So that's wh it's some king of happy panorama.
The other animals you see are derivated yokaï but with a nearby symbolic ... but nothing sexual or I dunt know what Oo.

I'm sure there is more to do with a $630 magnet than looking piece of metal flying at it. But I can't figure how.
For me it looks like you've bought a domino box and you put them on the ground and think it would be fun if you could make something out of it.
For now I just prefer spend those $ on helping children or any helping foundation.

i'm not really in line with all those remarks in the video.
In my field we speak of this fact very often. We are always forced to put ourselves in question and learn new thing, try new procedures. We always do 2 or three different things at a time. And time perception keeps constant whether I speak to a 30yo or 60yo. We also share in common our small duration of sleep/recovery time (like 5 or 6hours, 8 is a max). In the other hand while I take more than 1 week of Holiday time seems quite long because I'm not used to do nothing and I need to find things to focus on or I get bored quickly.
I'm really sure it depends on how you are used to process and concentrate new information. If you continuously use your brain at its almost full capacity. Time stays an almost constant perception.
in another hand when speaking of this with some friends which have a daily routine job, they have the perception described in this video.
So it depends. As any "sense" it's induced on how you've train your brain to use it. Of course Time seems slower when you're a young kid but it can stay constant during your adult life.

#3 : Why not ,but don't we say “Impossible only means that you haven't found the solution yet.”.
What if equilibrium is also a state where/when you can experience everything and nothing at the same time, like perfect entropy. Ergo time doesn't need (can't?) to exist in this state of unity. We know that Time is just purely relative at our perception (the further we are from someone, the more the past we see but every one calls it present). Haven't you ever be in love with a place or someone, the perfect unity of mind and body and feel like the time goes faster, like you "lost" some time. If you have found unity with everything and everything has found unity with you, do you even need time to explain something ?
The perception of our reality changes over time, some few centuries ago people were thinking that the earth was flat and the center of the universe and were using their science to describe it .
For the point of the video, we can also see the perfect entropy as everything in one point.

We are made of the same "ingredients" as everything, even some trees have sexual reproduction (see the ginko). And yet we fight for a piece of power.
I'm sure I will never see it in this life, but I truly hope that one day humanity stops struggling in a fight for power and finds unity.

And also missing some of the early flag modifications of western europe. That implied current italian, belgian, luxemboug, spanish and french.
For the Greenland it's because back in the viking times (around 1000) the south of the greenland was warmer and it was green back then.
For Belgian vs German flag. The belgian one comes from the belgian national protest against the king of the Netherlands. First they used French flags for the strips, then they changed the colors to match the Duchy of Brabant (black with a gold lion), which used to be the biggest part of belgium times ago.
The German one is an old one that comes from the revolutions in 1850-ish, that marked the Weimar Republic. If i remember well the colours are from the main political parties in that time. It was reinstated after WWII.
I think the Belgian one came before the German one but not many years.
In fact it's quite fascinating in regard of history how deep a flag can represent a country through history.

Also what "muslim branches" are the most represented. There are so many with so many different belief, it could have been interesting to see what were the preaches about for example or the ideas of the non muslim locals.
Sadly in this state it just looks like another buzz video.

If you really want to understand what this man is talking about you need to read about the collective uncouncious (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collective_unconscious) and also a good book called : Transformation of the Psyche (C.G. hmm if you have ever done some kungfu or taichi, you know more than those simple points. They are known as pressure points or chi nodes (if you known chinese medecine or acupunctur). What those people show you in this video is stimulation of some of those points, on a non-reinforced (prepared) body.
It's right that when using specific techniques on specific points you can KO someone in just 2 pressures (one for experts). Some of them are also deadly or can paralyse a part or all the body.
When you are using those techniques, no matter what is you strengh or the strength of you opponent, you just have to be accurate and concentrated.
see this video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YID0fsT1SbI
When you learn those techniques you should also learn reinforcement ones

When you are using those techniques, no matter what is you strengh or the strength of you opponent, you just have to be accurate and concentrated.

#15 that's a strange way to see things :/ not all the things can be resolved with religion, by the way ... Did you know that in Tangier there was the south forum last month (medays) ... and there was so much empty space in the conference room (in some we where less listeners than speakers) ?
That makes me think that before wanting to apply something to those people ... you should first listen to what they have to say. It's impossible to apply thing that have worked someday somewhere in the past ... because economics and time have changed ... And for now, as was speaking M. Kim from south korea (by explaining how they went in 20 years from nothing to what they are now) : that's totally nothing about religion and more about education and saving investments over time to stabilize the population.
I would love to live in the world as simple as you're speaking about, but definitely it doesn't exists anymore.

More and more drones and automated systems, from the ground robots or even a F-16 that can take off and land by itself and be flown at distance if needed.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUNeTjQIvYw
The F-16 also included tests on the AMAS (Automated Maneuvering Attack System) technology from as early as 1984 to 1997 which would place the aircraft into attack position and limit pilot involvement (including objective tracking et area scanning help).
http://www.f-16.net/f-16-news-article778.html
I'm pretty sure they just need to add some AI to push the firing button if it's not already done (X-47B maybe ?)
I just hope our future maid robots won't be equipped with the same software bases

#4 : This, I don't know. Does anyone have some infos on the history of this strange celebration ?
I kinda remember something on the "sheep letter" (you can see it in Thorshavn museum, it's one of the rare official document written in old norse) about the share of found sheeps, dogs and whales. Back then the whale were very valuable for their meat, oils and bones. I wonder if there is a link.
Anyway if you haven't got to Thorshavn (Thor's harbour), it's a really nice place to visit and even more if you want to know/see some more about pre-Christian Danish and Celtic civilisations (as far as around the 9th century) and trading. But I'd advise to go there during summer lol (else it's really cold).

I really never understood why do some people need a fastest car. I can understand for the design but not the speed.
If you want to go fast from a point to another, you can pass you private pilot license. It will cost far far less, you will even get there faster and you will have time to enjoy the view.

looks like someone knows how to use after effects and has bought some stuff from video copilot.
Look at the bottom of the building, you will clearly see it sliding with the smoke masking it (but not perfectly) also look at the booth on the right the smoke doesn't seem to affect it.
The fixed camera that helps for post production of those effects, because the smokes are clips and not volumetric ones.
Plus I don't think that a planed demolition while allow people to be this close.
